Typically a normal wedding day is pretty high stress for the bride and groom. They are worried about everything being perfect, all the details they spent months planning to be taken care of, and nothing being forgotten. I get it. I totally do. But at some point you have to let go and allow just good karma to happen. That’s what Bill and Carrie were able to do. I could tell from the moment I met them that they were a fun loving couple and they let that shine through their entire day.
After arriving at the hotel and meeting up with Matt, of the wonderfully talented Matthew Steed Wilson Photography who I was lucky enough to second shoot under, I hung out with the boys while they finished getting ready. When it was time to leave, they quickly realized they had more people then cars. So Carrie’s Dad and Bill’s son jumped in my car. So um, this is where we insert my hate for getting lost. Okay. I know. I had the address, I plugged it into my phone… and then it took me to U of I’s Veterinarian Clinic/Farm area. Apparently the address takes you directly PAST the Arboretum. 😐 In my defense, when the girls arrived — it took them to the same place.
The remainder of the day seemed to go off without a hitch and was beautiful. Bill and Carrie shared their personalities through their entire day. Laughing, smiling, and having probably one of the best ceremonies I have had the pleasure of attending. I mean, who else starts their ceremony with mawage from Princess Bride? Um yeah, bonus points in my book!
Carrie and Bill, I am so glad I was able to take part in your amazing day, and not only see your two families come together, but see how you carefully included your amazing personalities into the entire day. Congratulations and here’s to years of laughter. <3
